Is The Private Sector and Republican Leadership Trying to Destroy The US Postal Service?

Posted on November 22nd, 2011 by admin1 in republican marketing firm

The 2006 congressional mandate that the USPS pre-fund future retiree health benefits for the next 75 years, and do so within a decade, an obligation no other public agency or private firm faces. The roughly $5.5 billion annual payments since 2007 — $21 billion total — are the difference between a positive and negative ledger.

Sounds like the lobbyists for companies like Fed Ex and UPS are trying to push out the Post Office. How’s that Free Market thing working out for you guys?

Repubs are trying to privatize everything. The main reason is to destroy unions in this country. They hate Unions because Unions stick up for the working class and repubs hate the working class. We need a party strong enough to fight these thugs and their billionaire backers.

The way the Post Office manages itself has proven to be inefficient and wasting money.

Had the Post Office been a private entity, they would have file for bankruptcy by now because. But nooooo….they get to have us taxpayers continue to fill their coffers while they continue with practices that are outdated and no longer necessaryReferences :

The private sector is the only chance the postal service has to survive. A government monopoly is as bad as any other monopoly and needs to be broken.References :

Post Office has a real problem. Fewer people are using their services and the management’s hands are tied because managers at the Postal Service need Congress’s approval to make changes.References :
