Why are people sending me "republican bashing" emails?
I received an email from a co-worker that has a list of 17 insults/lies about anything Republican and ends with: Friends don’t let friends vote republican.
How do I respond and still work with her? & all the other liberals. We work in a room with about 26 mega-liberals and 3 conservatives-who usually remain silent when politics comes up.
I was wondering if I should follow it up with funny liberal jokes.
One of the points was ripping into any Republican including & since Reagan. However they left out the part about Clinton not treating the first bombing of the World Trade Center as a terrorist attack and just slapping their hands and letting them go, giving them insight into being about to knock down both buildings. OR about how he had a chance to get rid of Osama Bin Laden and he didn’t. Or even pulling out of Somalia just a little too early, showing the world what cowards Americans are.
I just was wondering if I could send some satire back, or would it cause friction at work. At work, they are pretty good friends, but know I’m on the conservative side. I was surprised that they sent such a mean-spritited email.
It’s ironic that people are still complaining about the war debt. The war keeps us free & is not self serving. No one is mentioning the people that borrowed money they couldn’t pay back and while the rest of us were paying off mortgages at a fixed interest rate that we could afford, now we have to deal with all the people that got "ARM’s" and couldn’t afford their houses. All the people I know that are in this mess and all the people I know that declare bankruptsy are all liberals. Their philosophy is: "I’m going to buy everything I want, go on vacation and smoke a couple $4/pack cigarettes/day and when I can’t borrow anymore, I’ll just declare bankruptsy."
The banking crisis is because of the people materialism, which is just selfishness.
I worked amongst conservatives and I was a liberal. I found them to be bullies. All you have to do is say that, "political things at work make me feel uncomfortable. Let’s maintain a great relationship, though." They are just voicing their oppressed voices.

You should demand hazard duty pay or file a hostile work environment law suit.
I’m sure you could find a liberal lawyer willing to turn it into a class action suit if the company has deep pockets.

I say just ignore it. A guy that I used to work with would send political emails to me that I didn’t want, but I chose to ignore it. You are better off.

Democrats are power hungry and will do anything to win an election. It’s sad that once in power they can’t do anything good for the country. Even with control of congress, they can’t get a rescue bill passed for the credit crunch that they created. They are great at creating problems but poor at solving them.

I guess you three conservatives are doing the smart things by just ignoring them. Were it me…and I was asked my opinion privately, I would tell them that I DO NOT agree, and that I will not change my mind, and that perhaps we should not talk about it, and agree to disagree. I don’t know how you deal with them, and I feel for you. I know that would annoy me to no end. Can you block the emails? Or tell the person you don’t appreciate getting emails like that? In a nice way, of course. I know that the large amount of libs I see on here are very nasty, though, so I don’t know if that would even work……Well, good luck in whatever you do…Hang in there, the election is in a month…..

Hard to give an accurate answer with no specifics as to the "lies" you allege. but this isn’t a lie. Republicans run on keeping taxes low and reducing Govt. spending. They do neither, and if you believe that not raising taxes while running up the deficit is "keeping taxes low" then you are just the voter they are counting on. Too partisan to see HOW they claim they keep Taxes low. they in fact force the inevitability of higher taxes and leave their heaping pile of mess for the next Prez.
Really, look into it, that is how it goes every time they’ve been in office in my lifetime, Bush #41 even had to go back on his "read my lips" line because Regan had run up such a huge deficit. At least He was being responsible enough to tell us He HAD to raise taxes rather than piling up more debt.

Shut up and listen to them. Majority rules. Doesn’t that tell you something? Your beliefs are old belief’s, they don’t work any more. All you have to do is turn the radio to a different station other than Rush Limberhead and turn the channel on your tv to something other than Fox news. Wake up and look at the way the country is. I know, I know But Rush said……Rush is a drug addict honey. Hannity can only get away from the mirror long enough to be on TV. Here’s a good idea, use your own brain.
