What’s your favorite political scandal involving REAL issues?
I’m not saying that the Monica Lewinsky thing wasn’t bad, but that it wasn’t a President putting himself above the law.
I’m referring to these types of scandals:
Watergate
Iran-Contra
Bush administration using RNC servers for email to keep them from being retrieved for investigations
Use of torture
Downing St memo
I’m sorry these all come from Republican administrations. Please feel free to list Democratic ones as well.
iran-contra – i just learned about this a few days ago (i’m canadian) and that blew my mind.
it’s not a favourite, its more or less an example how nontransparent governments are.

The one you don’t mention:
The backroom bribes that went on with the Health Care Bill.

This is like asking, "what’s your favorite part of the collapsing economy?" I don’t really get the point.

The country hasn’t gotten reamed so badly….ever. Reagan gave his middle finger to the country and Ollie North gets a show.

I don’t like scandals and don’t have any "Favorites", but the biggest scandal involving politics was electing Obama as our leader, second biggest Global warming scam.

There’s a big scandal concerning a Republican Montana senator, driving his boat drunk (.16 BAC), in August, 2009 while carrying a congressman and congressional aides. He claims he wasn’t drunk. He managed to drive his boat up a cliff going 40 mph and severely injured his passengers, including himself. One passenger was in a coma for several weeks.
He claims he’s innocent, although he was accused of driving while intoxicated on a previous occasion – leaving the officer after telling him, "Don’t you know who I am? I’m a state senator". Then he drove off. He thinks he has Republican-style immunity.
Is that Montana’s Republican base’s style of justice?
The Republicans are defending him. Go figure.

Most people just laughed and they gave a wink to Bill Clinton
what Bill did was a victimless crime of passion
what normal man would resist such a offer of a BJ
Monica was no raving beauty but who cares when you are a sex addict?
Bill was and is addicted to fast food and fast women
a trait that I must admit to and most normal men in this world
Bush and Cheney were just doing their jobs as they seen fit
the trouble with them is the media is liberal and they had a field day with George W. Bush Jr
and Bush and Cheney camped it up for the press along with Rums field and even Colin Powell
in the end it was time for the Republicans do bow out of office and let the Democrats take power
but now the Democrats got too greedy and are making a mockery out of their own party
in the end the American people will have to pay the tariff and taxes of these last two administrations
we are going to have a huge debt racked up for our children and grand children

Oh you mean like Democrat senator Byrd being a former member of the kkk.
Or do you mean the time Clinton bombed Kosovo to "save" Albanians when it was really to get the monica lewinsky issue off the front page.
Or the time Democrat leader Harry Reid said the war in Iraq is lost, even though we have troops fighting there and doing a fine job.
There’s also
Bush running as a Republican should of been a scandal, He seems pretty liberal to me, leaves the boarders open, Expands the government, Bail out banks and investors who screwed the system over in the first place, yea, Bush was a pretty liberal Republican, that’s why I think he was a failure, he would’ve been more Conservative on fiscal issues not to mention the fact he scared Republicans for a few years.
I think the Biggest Sandal is how the Democrats are trying to push this country to the left as quickly as possible without any regard for what the American people really want. It’s obviously about personal Ideological goals and not what is good for this country. Forcing people to buy insurance and "Fining" them for not buying insurance is NOT THE AMERICAN WAY. The government has no right what so ever to force you to buy something you don’t want. Democrat leadership are extreme liberals and they will doom the Democrats just like Bush did the Republicans. Democrats are suppose to be party of the "people", hahaha BS. Democrats think that just because people don’t like Bush it means that they became liberals and they think this is their only hope to shift this country to the left, that’s why they are rushing Health-care even though its a screwed up bill that 70% of the people don’t want. That’s why they want cap and trade. You know in Europe they’re considering charging people for their co2 consumption, so pretty much you will be charged for breathing, Yes, it has become that ridiculous Personally I think both parties are BS, the Democrats are way far to the left and the Republicans have forgotten their conservative roots and message. People need to wake up and take some dam personal responsibility and stop reallying on the Government to do everything for you. If you wanna live in a socialist country, just move to Canada, leave America alone you bastards.
