What’s important isn’t the allegations but how the candidate handles the allegations. Every candidate has issues of some kind come out. Cain is messing up his reaction badly.

Evidence has come out about Thomas that makes Hill’s testimony more plausible. The allegations against Cain so far aren’t anything concrete. (They also were thrown into the spotlight by Republicans.)

It’s not all black Republicans that have such issues. Colin Powell or Condi Rice probably wouldn’t.
